Parent View - Give Ofsted your view on your child's school

Welcome to Burnt Yates CE (VA) Primary School

Our school has an excellent reputation for educating ‘the whole child’. This is due, in no small part, to the outstanding grounds with which the school is blessed, with the children having access to an enormous playing field, a wood, a paddock, extensive playgrounds, outside classroom and sensory garden of peace and remembrance. Our experienced staff work with the children aiming to extend and support every child’s learning so that each individual reaches their full potential. Our standards and expectations are high; we want children to achieve their very best whilst enjoying their time at school

This is what our parents think:

You are trying so hard, your good attitude and imagination mean you are writing fantastic stories. We are so proud of you and what you have learned and achieved. We are very confident that you are showing great progress. You are so energetic and love your numbers and letters. So proud to see all your work and the improvements you have made this yer. I have enjoyed hearing about your fabulous topics as you absorb the information like a sponge. We loved seeing all your amazing work. Keep learning and enjoying school. You have beautiful handwriting and have lots of ideas that you can put down on paper so clearly. Your english work is very good, your writing has improved a lot, your reading is amazing. Well done with your spellings, you can spell better than some grown ups! Keep trying hard, you are doing great!

Thank you for supporting our Macmillan Coffee afternoon.  It was wonderful to see so many people.  Thank you for your generosity with providing cakes, attending and helping at this event.
